Condition
Framed: 82 3/4 x 47 1/4 inches.Moderate deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is unlined and somewhat slack; network of craquelures throughout the surface, including wide spacing craquelures in the upper half; inpainting is visible within the spacing craquelures, but these do not affect the woman's face; stretcher bar marks around the image perimeter, as well as horizontal marks extending through the center; some areas of overcleaning present, visible within the woman's eyes and in additional passages; a circular concave indentation in the lower right corner, accompanied by scratches to the paint; two vertical scratches in the lower center, within the woman's skirt; localized white paint spattering in the lower left corner and lower center, as well as a white spot of paint in the lower right corner; inpainting in the lower left corner, visible under normal viewing conditions; inpainted tack holes visible along the upper and lower edges. Under UV light: the aforementioned areas of inpainting fluoresce; a few additional minor spots of inpainting scattered throughout. Additional images available upon request.
